Important information about our Secure File Transfer system

Here at PDW Group, data protection and security have always been a top priority for us, and we are always on the lookout for ways in which we can continuously improve this. Today is that day, as I am excited to let you know about an upgrade to the way that we transfer files to and from clients like yourself.

Firstly, a bit of background information. In 2018, the European Parliament turned business processes upside down with the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). When the GDPR was announced, the team at PDW Group started the work on our own in-house application titled Secure File Transfer. This application facilitated the secure transfer of sensitive data with powerful tools such as automatic file removal built-in.

Whilst this system has been great for us in the early days of the GDPR, we are now in 2022, and as technology evolves, it is an ideal time to improve this service further. After careful consideration, we believe to have found a perfect replacement – Citrix ShareFile. This new system provides us with a vastly improved feature set, pushes the boundaries of information security even further, and most importantly allows us to stay true to our aforementioned commitment to data protection and security. 

After seeing positive results from a trial run that we have carried out with a small selection of our clients, we have decided to roll this out to everyone. It is therefore our pleasure to announce that starting from Monday, July 4th, we will be fully migrating away from our existing solution to Citrix ShareFile.

In order to make the transition as smooth as possible, we have prepared a number of useful resources such as Frequently Asked Questions, as well as a number of support articles. And as usual, our team is here to guide you through this process.
